Last monday i was picking my son up from school and went to change into 2nd and this grinding sound came from underneath!! Well low and behold the right inner drive was gone.I rang 30 breakers yards in Ireland and couldn't get one for love nor money! Tried the north aswell no joy!!! I was told by a few driveshaft centers that the piece that goes into the gearbox would have to come from the ford dealer.

I am after finding out that its a fairly common fault with the galaxy/sharon/alambra er what ever its called. Found a web site with good service called Motomax.eu.

They do rebuilt drives and they are out of Poland. Worth checking out!!!

If you search a bot more on this forum, you would find whole thread about the driveshaft from Poland.

Mirez fitted his in August last year and I have fitted mine last month. They are sent as whole kit (gearbox stub + halfshaft assembly + grease and compression ring) for about 220quid delivered.
